Use the following check list to prepare for visiting your web
designer.
.Is there a "corporate image" to be matched - i.e. do
you have stationary such as letter head and business cards that
you would like matched.
.What is the purpose of your website - e.g. a sales brochure, a
sign up site, a club, an on line education facility, a corporate
extravaganza, an order/entry site, a shopping site, a personal
home page, etc.
.Who is your target audience? What key words and phrases are they
most likely to use to find a website like yours. Is there something
else your audience looks for and you would like them to venture
upon your site too.
.Will you want your audience to revisit your website? - how would
you like to entice them to do so? A newsletter, a calendar, a game
site, a bulletin board, etc.?
.What content in writing and images will you put on your website,
and what headings and links can you see your website having.
.What forms do you want to include on your website - e.g. email
list sign up, secure payments area for Visa/Mastercard, membership
password area, data base, catalogue, humorous quotes, news templates,
shopping cart etc.
.Which countries, towns, states and provinces must see your site?
.Do you need a new Domain Name of your own?
.How important is it that your website competes on the web?
.Must your site be found in the top 20 search engines in the top
50 places? Which search engines must you have your website compete
upon e.g. Google? MSN? In these cases you may require special search
optimization services, and these must be separately quoted. . |
