There is a lot of controversy
surrounding index and doorway pages and creating too many of
them is considered an abuse (i.e. spamming the index).
A really nasty search engine
optimisation tactic that has reared it's ugly head is to
create a site of multiple pages and links specifically to
drive down a competitors site.
Now let us
be clear on why they created Spamming Rules. The idea
was to prevent repetitive nuisance and worthless content
pulverizing the internet. If more than one of your
(identical)
web-pages
show up in a keyword search category, then you are
spamming, even if they are different domain addresses.
What I am teaching you today
would allow you to do that ... but I promise you, if you
abuse the system, a competitor will
turn-you-in-to-the-authorities, and you can kiss your hard
work goodbye! Certain search engines are apparently not only
canceling submissions but banning the entire domain
registration of obvious abusers.
Handled
fairly and appropriately however, using Doorway Pages is
the most effective way to attain a higher ranking.
Automated search engines have
their limitations e.g. if your site depends upon dynamically
generated (cgi, asp, php) pages or uses frames and/or Java
Script ... Spiders can lose the plot!
I can recommend an invaluable
tool supplied by
Master.com
whom supply a Directory Search Engine facility that behaves
like the more common spiders. A quick check by this tool
shows up all the errors, missing links, confusions and
duplicates that will be a problem when submitting your
website to search engines. There is also a list of
other brilliant tools listed on the
marketing tools page later in the program.
